USACUA Annual Dinner Gala scheduled for Saturday August 18, 2018 put on hold

The USACUA President announced that the Annual Dinner Gala scheduled for August 18, 2018 has been put on hold due to a police incident at the dinner location.

USACUA regrets this unforeseen development.

The new location, date, and time will be announced later.

USACUA Umpires’ Seminar announced for Saturday, June 30, 2018

The President of the USACUA today announced the Umpires’ Seminar in New York. The Seminar is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

USACUA Founding Member Mr. Lloyd G. Scott passes away

The President and the Executives of USACUA wish to inform the membership that one of the Founding Members of USACUA, Mr. Lloyd G. Scott has passed away.

Mr. Scott passed away last night (June 5th, 2018) while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Long Island, New York. It was through the insight and dedication of Mr. Scott that USACUA was formed and grew to its present state. Mr. Scott served USACUA unconditionally as President for a number of years. As a founder member his contributions to USACUA is innumerable. He was an avid lover of cricket and sought to provide guidance to anyone long after his playing days had ended.

Personally, Mr. Scott was a wealth of information and made himself available whenever called upon to provide constructive criticism. The name of Mr. Lloyd G. Scott will always remain etched in the annals of USACUA. Details regarding the final rites for Mr. Lloyd Scott will be made available in due course. His presence on this earth will surely be missed but never forgotten. USACUA has definitely lost a founding member of the highest quality.

The Executive Committee and the Association send their deepest condolences to the family of Mr. Scott.

Bereavement Notice – Umpire Mr. Bradford Porter

Regretfully, the USACUA Executive Committee informs it membership that long-standing member of our Association Umpire Mr. Bradford Porter has passed away. Mr. Porter served the Tri-State cricketing fraternity for a very long period. He performed his duties as a member of USACUA and the Tri-State cricketing fraternity with due diligence.

Mr. Porter will be missed but not forgotten. The President and Executives and Members of USACUA would like to extend to the relatives and friends of Mr. Bradford Porter their sincere condolences.

 

USACUA holds it Annual General Meeting 2018

USACUA successfully held its Annual General Meeting for 2018 at the Primrose Cricket Club in the Bronx, this past Sunday March 18, 2018.

The President of the Primrose Cricket Club warmly welcomed the USACUA members and thanked the USACUA President Mr. Danny Khan for bringing USACUA to the Bronx after twenty-six (26) years.

The meeting was a success.

 

USCUA unveils new umpiring shirts for 2018 season

USACUA and its sponsor Allied Mortgage Group, Mr. Sumit Rajpal today unveiled new shirts for the Association Umpires for the 2018 season.

Mr. Danny Khan, President of USACUA and Mr. Sumit Rajpal of Allied Mortgage Group unveiled the shirts today. Mr. Danny Khan thanked Mr. Sumit Rajpal for his generosity in supporting the Association.
