WICUA 2015 Examination Results have been announced. USACUA is thrilled to announce that their candidates have performed excellently in these examinations.
The Secretary of USACUA, Mr. Mohamed S. Baksh had the following to convey to the membership:
On behalf of the President, Executives and Members of USACUA, congratulations are extended to Umpires Aveek Gangopadhay and Rajesh Babujalli for being the candidates who attained the most marks throughout the West Indies, Canada and USA at the recently concluded WICUA Final Written and Practical and Oral Examinations respectively. The achievement of these two umpires exemplifies the rewards that can be attained with hard work and dedication.
Below are the Umpires who were successful at the Final Written and Practical and Oral Examinations. USACUA entered seventeen (17) candidates for both examinations, all of our candidates were successful.

I would like to extend to Aveek Gangopadhay and Rajesh Babujalli congratulations. I would like to take this opportunity to advise all of our members who are in the process of getting certified to continue to maintain the high standards that has been set by your colleagues.
The Umpires who were successful at the WICUA Final Written Examination are encouraged to complete their practical assessment this season so that they are eligible to sit the Oral Examination in 2016. Candidates are asked to contact the Secretary or their Trainer for Personal score.

The WICUA Chief Training Officer Mr. Clyde Cumberbatch has announced that the WICUA Final Written Examination will be held on October 18, 2015 at 9:00am sharp.
The USACUA Secretary Mr. Mohammed S. Baksh, has requested that all US regions submit in writing, the full names of the umpires who will be appearing for the WICUA Final Written Examination by September 30th, 2015.
The names should be spelt correctly as they would appear on the Examination Certificate to be awarded to the successful candidates.

The 2015 WICUA Convention hosted by the United States Cricket Umpires’ Association came to a close on Friday, 24th July culminating in a glittering standing-room only banquet at the New York Radisson Hotel near JFK International Airport.
The 27th Biennial Convention was a huge success according to the large contingent of umpires from the West Indian Islands in the Caribbean.
The next convention will be hosted by Jamaica and the announcement was met with a resounding applause.
Mr. Fitzroy Hayles thanked his Convention Organizing team, that included Mr. Nick Grant, Mr. Roan McFarlane, Mr. Mohammad S. Baksh and Ms. Petula Samuels, among others.
The WICUA President Mr. Cecil Fletcher also expressed his thanks to USACUA for providing an excellent platform for WICUA to discuss its agenda and address the order of business.
The elections returned largely the current elected officers, unopposed, with the exception of Area 3 Vice-President. Mr. Roger Davies will assume the role of Area 3 Vice-President replacing Mr. Goaland Greaves.
The Convention provided an avenue to discuss interesting umpiring topics and ideas from the convention delegates and observers.
Mr. Chambers from the USA Cricket Hall Of Fame was the keynote speaker. Mr. Nick Perry, Councilman and the PSAL Commissioner Mr. Bassett Thompson were also present at the gala.
